The Classical Seat, Position and Aids

Ear, shoulder, hip and heel alignment in the riderThis one of my most popular clinics, and is a detailed study of the Classical Seat and Position and the many ways in which in it can be used to positively influence the horse. This clinic is both practical and theoretical.

We practice in detail every aspect of the correct position from the head all the way down to the foot.

I give detailed explanations of the Classical Aiding Systems, with the emphasis on riding your horse without the use of domination, gadgets or force.

In Classical Riding the aim is to work with the horse, sensitising the horse to the Aids and enabling him to clearly understand what the rider is asking for.

This clinic requires you to bring a sports ball of appropriate size to sit on, and a pair of reins.
