My Showing Clinics normally run in April and May. Dates can be found on the Events section of my FaceBook page.

I have been judging In-hand and Ridden Showing classes for 30 years and have even more year experience as a competitor.

The Showing Clinics are open to anyone who wants to know more about Showing.

Your mount does not need to be Show Quality to join in.  I offer private, shared or group lessons in both In-hand Showing and Ridden Showing. The format is group lessons (4 people) in-hand or ridden. I will give you lots of tips on how to improve your showing performance and insights into what the judge is looking for. Part of the lesson is a Practice Showing Class.

Dress code is casual, there is no need to plait up or wear your showing outfits unless you wish to.

The Showing Register

I am a Talent Spotter for The Showing Register’s Pathway. Amateur riders attending my Showing Clinics may be talent spotted. Please note that if you wish to have a chance of being Talent Spotted for Amateur Handler of the Year you must book an In-hand Lesson. if you wish to have a chance of being Talent Spotted for Amateur Rider of the Year you must book a Ridden Lesson.

I always enjoy Val’s showing clinics. She is friendly and approachable; the clinics have a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I find they are a great opportunity to warm up at the beginning of the season. For novices and the more experienced it’s the ideal forum to ask all those questions you have always been afraid to ask! We were lucky enough to be talent spotted for The Showing Register Rider of the Year through these clinics and we had a fantastic time competing in the finals. I would thoroughly recommend Val’s showing clinics both for the seasoned campaigner and those new to the world of showing.
